In this month's update we dive into a LinkedIn content marketing feature that you may have overlooked, the LinkedIn article. We also explore the three steps involved with embracing and developing your personal brand and provide an update on some of the features LinkedIn has announced for LinkedIn Page admins.
How to Publish a LinkedIn Article
As a LinkedIn member you can publish articles in your areas of expertise and interests. If you're not quite ready to commit to publishing a regular newsletter on LinkedIn, either from the organisation's LinkedIn page or your leader's LinkedIn profiles, the article option is worth exploring. It's suitable if your content marketing strategy is to share your insights on particular topics or you want to repurpose blogs or knowledge articles from your organisation's website. You can also manage the SEO settings of your article to help people find it when they search for the topics you or your organisation write about.
Please note - the LinkedIn article feature is not available on the LinkedIn mobile app.
Publishing Articles via LinkedIn Profiles
Articles are displayed in the Activity section of your profile and are shared with your connections and followers in their news feeds, and sometimes through notifications. Publishing Articles via your organisation's LinkedIn Page
With a LinkedIn page your super admins can publish articles in your organisation’s areas of expertise. Articles are displayed in the newsfeed of your page and can be included in your page’s featured section. The articles posted from your page will be shared with your connections followers in their news feeds, and sometimes through notifications. The article link can be copied and shared in other mediums (e.g. newsletters or social media).

'Create a design' feature for LinkedIn Article Images
We've trialled a few of the LinkedIn profile AI tools and have been disappointed, which is why Karen Hollenbach was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Create a design feature (see image below) available when creating the LinkedIn article and LinkedIn newsletter.

In last month's update we reported the BIG news that Premium LinkedIn Company page is being released to super admins. In case you missed it, a number of features are being offered, including:
