How public speaking will make a change to people′s life?

I am glad to announce the launch of a project which I hope will make a change to people′s life even if in small way: Voice for others.  

My commitment to Global Shapers, a community of young leaders initiated by the World Economic Forum is a constant reminder of the need of giving back to the society. I have heard many inspiring initiatives from my fellow community members who started with a PowerPoint and ended up changing lives for its beneficiaries. 

About two years ago, Juan Mata Manchester United’s football star launched ONE Goal. A project which nudges football players to donate 1% of their annual revenue to a social cause. I must admit that since then I kept wondering how we could replicate this initiative in our business environment. 

Since I started my career in financial services, about six years ago, I have been given the opportunity to keynote speak all around the world about innovation, marketing and leadership. Even though most of my conferences are on behalf of my organization, I am also speaking for other contexts. 

I have therefore decided to donate 100% of my speaking fees to a social cause under an initiative called Voice for others. I hope other professionals will join me in this initiative. 

Voice for others is a charitable project with the aim of using the immense power of public speaking to generate social change and improve people's lives.

Its members are speakers who agree to donate part/the total of their public speaking income* to active projects in all continents. The members, who usually speak free of charge, have the option to persuade the host to donate rather getting paid directly.

Voice for others is raising funds to support the Spanish NGO ItWillBe.org founded by Arancha Martinez, award winner of foundation Princess of Girona.  

Significant changes can be triggered by starting small. The most consistent and tangible way to set off a desired change is to count with a group of people who are willing to behave differently for a cause.
