How to Provoke the Hand of God for Victories – Part 2
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.” 1 John 5:4 (NKJV)
?
In part 1, we touched on some of the practices that can be put in place to provoke God's hand for victories: prayer, love for God, covenant practices, honour, and obedience. Be blessed by part 2 with the remaining principles.

6.???? Service
?
To prove your faith and move the hand of God, endeavour to also boost your service to God. God defends those who serve Him; we see this clearly in Daniel's life. Daniel was confined to a lion’s den due to his faith and belief in God. As the King approached the Lion’s den in Daniel 6 to check whether Daniel had been delivered from the lions, he referenced Daniel as the ‘servant of the living God’. Daniel responded in verse 22, declaring the victory God had given him in that He “shut the lion’s mouth so they could not harm him”. Where many others would have been devoured by being placed into a den filled with hungry lions, God gave victory to Daniel – a man found to serve Him continually.
?
"And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The King said to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?" Daniel 6:20 (NKJV)
?
"My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths so that they have not hurt me because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you." Daniel 6:22 (NKJV)
?
God has promised in His word that if we serve Him, He will bless what concerns us. Our job is, therefore, to simply serve Him and leave Him to bless.
?
“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” Exodus 23:25 (NKJV)
?
7.???? Confession
?
Remember, what you say matters. Confessing/saying the wrong things can hurt your destiny. Your confessions will determine your possession, so be careful what you say. Endeavour not to be caught saying certain negative things but instead, say what God's word has said. Spend time in the word. Have the word of God in your heart so you can speak the word of God into your life.

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)
?
8.???? Humility
?
God gives grace only to those who are humble. Just as water cannot flow up but naturally flows down, grace does not flow to a proud and elevated place but to a humble and lowly state. Pride leads to God's resistance, while humility causes Himself to move and elevate you.
?
“Likewise, you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,” 1 Peter 5:5-6 (NKJV)

9.???? Sacrifice
?
Sacrifice is a key spiritual language. We could not have been delivered from our sins without a sacrifice—the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As we relate to God and transact in the things of the spirit, we must also be willing to sacrifice to God.
?
After the flood, one of the first things we see Noah doing in Genesis 8:20 is building an altar and sacrificing to God. He brought only clean animals, those that would be fitting to present to God. Noah's sacrifice was so pleasing to God that it provoked the hand of God in verse 21. As a result, God vowed never to flood the earth with water again. True sacrifice will cost something but can bring about spiritual change. Sacrifice benefits the one making the sacrifice rather than the One receiving it.
?
“Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done." Genesis 8:20-21 (NKJV)

May is our month of Victories. As you commit to following these practices intentionally, I pray that God will move on your behalf. May heaven intervene in any situation in your life and cause you to encounter your victory. Amen!
