How to: protect your time & accomplish more in the office

Can I ask you a question?
How well are you protecting your time? Are you protecting it at all?
If this is a new concept to you, don't worry you're not alone.
Boundaries in life and leadership are incredibly important yet often overlooked.
In order to accomplish your goals effectively, you have to protect, respect, and leverage your time. As leaders, we are challenged to manage a lot of priorities, people, and tasks.
Finding focus is key for success.
When I coach leaders, they often struggle with setting boundaries in the office.
Learning how to protect your time is one small boundary you can set that will allow you to accomplish more and drive you closer toward your your organizational, personal, and team goals.
Let me teach you how to do it.
Try this first: choose one activity or task that you need time to accomplish.
It could be developing your marketing plan, preparing for your employee's annual review, or organizing your upcoming quarterly meeting.
Next: schedule in the time on your calendar.
This will help you to prioritize the time and keep your mind focused on the task at hand.
Lastly: communicate what you need.
This might look like telling your team that you'll be focusing for one hour on the marketing plan or it might be taking two hours out of the office to get creative in an uplifting environment.
That's it. Quick, simple, and effedctive.
Give these a try. There's no reason not to. I promise, it will be worth it. I'd love to hear how it goes.
