It's not very easy to get people to pay attention to your work, especially in the beginning. It requires a lot of hard work and marketing to build an audience and maintain it.
The most economical way to spread your word is social media, but there is so much noise on all the platforms, it becomes difficult to reach out to your ideal clients.
Guess what?
I am going to tell you step by step how to build your audience and which platforms to use for what purpose to make it super easy for you to intervene in your market.
#1 Create Your Own Brand
The very first thing you need to do (even if you don't have your own website, which is totally okay) is to build your business profile or public profile. Create your logo, your own set of font styles (up to 2 or 3) and colour schemes (up to 4).
#2 Use The Right Social Media Platform
Using the right platform is so important to build the audience you want. Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest are the three platforms to help you get your ideal clients.
Here's how they work.
Facebook: It is a great platform to build business profiles. I highly recommend using Facebook to make video posts, create events and Facebook ads while you are promoting your business on this platform.
Instagram: If you are already on Instagram, you already know that Instagram is #1 social media platform right now. Graphics posts, Instagram stories, and ads are the features you are going to need to build your audience. Graphics posts are more of an end product you are creating, while Instagram stories are more of a behind-the-scenes feature to let people know what your company is like or how you work.
I recommend starting with one platform that you are most comfortable with and putting your effort into it.
#3 Consistency Consistency Consistency
Online marketing is all about constantly staying in touch. Meanwhile, if you are working on an upcoming project, don't forget to post your behind-the-scenes or your own post or what you are up to. People want to see what your life looks like.
#4 Collaborations Go A Long Way
Look for public profiles or business profiles which are already doing well on these platforms (even if they belong to a different field). Collaborating with other business profiles can help you reach a huge audience just with a graphic post or video post or story.
