How to PROGRAM your mind?

7 simple ways to control the mind. This has worked for me:

1. Talk to your mind, motivate yourself, use auto suggestion to guide your mind, reward yourself on small victories, treat your mind like a child, you become the parent. Separate yourself from the mind. You are not the mind.

2. You may have several thoughts in your mind which distract you, start putting each one down on paper, become the 1st person, it will empty your mind.

3. You will hear several voices in your mind, start observing them, don't act, become a 3rd person, slowly they will die away when you don't listen to them

4. Program your mind by putting it in a routine, it will discipline your mind, make it do the same thing again & again, this will decrease the distraction.

5. Watch your narratives/words/thoughts/people around you, the mind gets coloured quickly so watch yourself, remove the negative words/people/thoughts

6. You can keep a part of the mind where you dump all the unwanted things, lock them in a box & hide it. It will block negativity.

7. Keep reviewing the program that runs your mind always & change the program so the mind does not get control over the program

BLACK MIND or WHITE MIND

Which one are you using?

I grew up using both these minds without knowing about them, till I found out

BLACK MIND:

Makes us think things will go wrong, makes us feel negative emotions - anger, jealousy, hatred, ego, sorrow, greed, power, failure, feeling stuck, envy, insecurity, fears, regret, etc. Makes us do Negative actions - hurting people, hurting self, blaming other people/situations, remaining stuck, etc.

WHITE MIND:

Makes us create things & achieve the impossible, makes us feel:

Positive emotions - happiness, helping others, helping self, thinking positive

Makes us do positive actions - collaboration, creation, makes us move forward, helps achieve the impossible, taking ownership, being nice to people, etc.

I realized few years back I had become the Black mind. It was a horrible feeling to know this & why I was stuck in life. I began to slowly change & become the White mind. Miracles started to happen in my mind & in my life.

This is such a wonderful piece, Sandeep. I remember Vishwapriya mentioning about a chuck box during one of our interactions. She mentions to chuck the negative emotions in a ‘brain box’ and lock it so that they don’t keep popping out. I loved the part where you mention to treat our brain like a child. Discipline, routine and some concerted efforts are sure to help in nurturing the white brain and be positive. Thanks for the article.

Nice one but difficult to implement .We have accumulated so much of knowledge from parents, friend and society. Now it needs lot of practice still not sure if we can achieve this completely. We are continuously gathering data through our sense organs like eye , ear nose and mind is processing it.I think to control the mind first thing we should do is try to shutdown our sense organs for few hours. Like close our eye and ear and sit. Idle do nothing. Once mind stop receiving the data it will also stop processing the data into information . Anything which can trigger the thought should be stop. We should practice fasting for once in a week. Food and Beverages what we eat or drink should be stop .unless we understand mind functions we cannot draw the solution and conclusion . Mind is also helping us to transform on a daily basis. everyday we are experiencing spiritual/materialistic transformation within us because of mind. do we really need to control our mind or try to understand teh nature of mind. Problem is not to control but not to overreact with any kind of thought. we should practice how to stay in present i think this will solve most of the problem we are facing today.
