How to be productive while working from home?
Working from home can be very rewarding and satisfying. However, some challenges come with the territory, one of which is staying productive when you aren’t in an office setting. Here are some tips to help you stay on track, even if your home office isn’t as conducive to productivity as your workplace would be
Four Tips for Staying Productive While Working From Home
Set Boundaries:
Stay on track by deciding what you’ll do and when you’ll do it. For example, if your goal is to complete a major project during work hours, block out time in your calendar that week so others will know not to schedule meetings then.
You may also want to create a list of times you don’t answer emails or phone calls. These boundaries will help you stay focused on accomplishing your goals. Plus, you can tell your boss that these restrictions are necessary to keep up with your tasks! Put Distractions Away: Ensure all unnecessary gadgets are turned off and out of sight. Otherwise, it’s easy to get distracted by incoming messages or notifications.
Minimize Distractions:
When you work from home, it’s easy to get distracted. You may start a project, but check your email or go for a walk. To be productive at home, put your cell phone away and only check it once an hour. If you can be disciplined enough, set up your office, so you don’t have any distractions.

Have a designated area of the house where you will spend all your time working, whether in a separate room or on the back porch.
Develop A Routine:
When you work at home, your ability to stay productive is greatly reduced if you don’t develop a routine. Make sure to set up some sort of workflow and schedule that allows you to be as productive as possible. For example, one of my favorite tricks is setting an alarm on my computer every 30 minutes. I have it play a quick little ditty, and then I know it’s time to switch gears and tackle something new.
Educate Yourself:
You need at least a basic knowledge of what you’re trying to achieve to accomplish your tasks. For example, if you’re running a small business and tasked with developing marketing strategies for your company website, make sure you know exactly how websites work and how people can find them.
If you're working on content for the site, be aware of keywords that will help with search engine optimization (SEO). These are just two examples, but the point is to educate yourself on the task or skill set required before diving in. It will help you succeed in getting things done more quickly.
Still, it'll also help keep you motivated because when something is unfamiliar or too challenging to do, chances are that we will lose interest in our work and become less productive.
