How To Be Productive Like A Pair of Glasses

In the Productivity PlayRoom today we'll be focusing on a pair of glasses. Let's see what we can learn about making the most use of our time.

Be secure

Humans are so interesting. Anything that we grab is called a handle. Well at least in Barbados ???? it's like that.

• A saucepan handle.?
• Bicycle handle bars.
• Bag handles.

But on glasses the correct name is 'temples'. Which makes sense, yes?

The temples on glasses help to secure them on your face. They have to be the right length or else the glasses will slip and possibly drop and break.?

Sometimes we're so focused on the main job (lenses) that we forget the need for good support (temples).?

In life we need to have good support to keep us from sliding to the floor and breaking.?

Good support keeps us:

→ On track

→ Energised

→ Accountable

It could be with a mentor or a community.?

No matter which choice you make, have a good support system to help you achieve your main goals.?

Have good vision

The main purpose of glasses is to help correct vision. Whether to clear up far away objects or bring closer objects into better focus.?

If we have no vision we won't see where we're going.?

We'll waste time stumbling around. And possibly injure ourselves in the process.?

We should have vision like the lenses in a pair of glasses.?

?? Vision to correct our mistakes.

?? Vision to see the next step.?

?? Vision to avoid pitfalls.

Once we can see clearly we can make decisions that lead us towards our goals and not away from them.?

Be comfortable

Glasses have nose pads to help them sit comfortably on your face. If not we would remove them constantly to avoid pain and discomfort on our noses.?

What do you have in place to help you sit comfortably for the long haul in business?

If you don't put certain measures in place, at the first sign of discomfort you will fold.?

→ Are you comfortable in your purpose?

→ Are you comfortable in your identity?

→ Are you comfortable in your skills?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, you'll have a difficult time enduring your race.?

It won't be impossible. But it'll be that much harder.?

So make sure you pad your mind, emotions and attitude with the Word of God. It will keep you in times of discomfort and uncertainty.?

Wrapping it up

Take comfort from God's Word in Psalm 121: 1-2

I will lift up my eyes to the hills - From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

God is the one who gives us purpose, identify and skills. He made everything so we can go to Him for the help that we need.

? Be secure.

? Have good vision.

? Be comfortable in truth.
