Frames are beautiful and sometimes delicate. There are many ways your picture frames can be damaged and you need to always protect them. Here are few things you need to protect them from:
1. Direct sunlight
Direct sunlight can cause your pictures and frames to fade especially if your frame is not a glass frame or acrylic because glass reduces the effect of sunlight damage.
2. Avoid getting moisture on your frames.
Frames are almost always sealed at the back which cannot give room for moisture to escape. Do not clean with a moist cloth to prevent dust from sticking to the frames. You should also avoid spray cleaners so you don’t see watermarks on your framed pictures. Clean your frames with a dry cloth.
3. Avoid Stacking
Don’t stack your picture frames on top of one another when cleaning or moving because scratches can be a headache to fix. Wrap them in towels or plastic bubble wrap if you need to pack them up or move them. This will help protect your frame, glass, and picture.
