How Press Freedom Shapes the world?

How Press Freedom Shapes the world?

I have been a social media user for about a decade. I got my Facebook page early 2004. It means social media rapid changes influences everyone’s lives on how we consume news.

The media coverage and news breakthrough via social media is huge and unstoppable. We have seen big news broke in a short tweet by world leaders.

Journalists and citizen journalists play critical role in covering unbiased news with the challenge of social media news coverage.

While the bigger challenge is fake news and how they can impact the unbiased reporting. There has been mistakes on quoting different issues while the reality emerge later and it was an awe for journalists.

Narrowing down to South Asia, the challenge of covering  news out of conflicts such as Afghanistan is huge. Reporting jobs especially for Afghan journalists who live and feel war on daily bases is one of the most difficult task. Tens of journalists killed in different suicide bombings and other news covering events.

According to UN statement on Press Freedom “UN Scribe said “A free press is essential for peace, justice, sustainable development and human rights”, he went further that “No democracy is complete without access to transparent and reliable information.”

The United Nations General Assembly declared May 3 of every year to be World Press Freedom Day to raise awareness of the importance of freedom of the press and remind governments of their duty.

It was created in Mark's room in boston at that time. No one used it except a small group of his classmates and friend as a pilot. I was just wondering how you got access.
