How prepared do we want to be?
Do you remember how using a task trainer was EXACTLY LIKE your first code? Neither do we. At Moulage Concepts we understand how the scene, the story and the wound all come together to create learning that will be useful when lives are on the line.
That’s why we created the Multi-Agency A.S. Training Kit specifically to meet the intense demands of mass casualty events. Do you want to check boxes on the training form, or do you want your agencies to walk away with situational awareness they can draw on when life hangs in the balance?
Thank you to those who are preparing to "run in" while the rest of us are "running out....."
DID YOU KNOW that a realistic moulage-based interactive training environment contributes to
- Greater success in the field
- Higher levels of critical thinking
- Increased engagement
- More proficient differential diagnosis development
- A faster learning curve
- More confidence with inexperienced providers
- Stress inoculation
How prepared do we want to be?
Mass casualty incidents continue to change our landscape and dictate a need for comprehensive learning engagement- we require a broader scope that utilizes interactive, realistic training moulage as a fundamental component to identification, triage, and re-triage challenges.
Since many of us are trying to do more with less, moulage provides better value through the greater development of critical thinking. Developing triage skill competency is important, but isn’t it as important to know when and on whom the skill should be performed? For example, emergency care cannot proceed until you locate, triage and tag the victims for treatment and transport prioritization; skills you won’t learn from reading a patient profile card. For an unfiltered assessment of team competencies, skill sets, and unified command preparation, interactive and situational moulage is an essential part of creating a believable and realistic simulation.
Moulage enables opportunities for growth and resource allocation in meeting our community preparedness needs with an impressive return on investment dollars spent. A need that every one of us benefits from, and only a few are willing to do. When we prepare our response teams through realistic training scenarios and situational moulage - we support them in their mission, providing agencies an opportunity to establish baselines, identify shortcoming and mitigate risks- in hope they will not be called on to use them.
"The secret of success in any field is to be thoroughly trained and properly prepared for your time when it arrives."

7 年Bobbie, that is amazing work. I have trained critical care flight crews for years. Although there are alternatives, nothing compares to the impact that a well rehearsed patient with realistic wounds has on learning. Thanks for your work!
