Hey there, interviewers!?
As you gear up for your next interview, let's make sure you and your hiring teams are all on the same page to nail it!?
1. First things first,?gather interviewers?who will be part of the decision-making process. If it’s more of an entry-level position, you may be the only interviewer. If it’s a higher-level senior role, there might be up to 3 people who need to be included. (Something to note - including more than 3 interviewers can drain your team’s time, and make decision processes unnecessarily difficult.)?
2. Now,?scheduling?can be a challenge, we get it. But make sure everyone's calendars have room for interviewing. After all, we don't want any "Sorry, gotta reschedule" moments during the process.?
3. Next up, take time to?agree on what the right answers are?for the questions you’ll be throwing at candidates. You will examine the challenges the job entails, and how your top performers handle those situations. If it's a new role, imagine the challenge this candidate will face and the ideal actions they would need to take to solve them. In addition,?discuss what your ideal candidate should enjoy in the role. Are they team players or lone wolves? Do they thrive on commission or prefer a steady salary? Do they prefer managing, or enjoy being hands-on with projects? These insights help us align their motivators with the job requirements.?

4. Once you have ideal actions and preferences sorted, you can?create a structured interview guide?with questions targeted at your right answers. This means you'll get a consistent, efficient, and equitable process that benefits both you and the candidate.
So, rock that interview and find your next great team member! You’ve got this!?
