How to prepare for One's Future

On preparation for one’s future:

The future is so uncertain and unknown. How can one actually prepare for it?

While this short newsletter does not serve as a full, detailed information that would fit perfectly to your life,

There are three stages a mentor recommended to me and I would share it with you here.

The First Stage:

The first stage is understanding your background doesn’t and can never affect your possibilities.

What my mentor helped me realise is that my background does not restrict or decide my future.

You are not restricted on what you can become simply because of where you come from. You come from a poor home or a rich home. At the end, the onus is on you to decide what you want to become.

The Second Stage:

The second stage is recognising that you have to unlearn certain traits. I like to see it as the process.

While your future is not affected by your background, your background would have taught you certain traits that would be detrimental to your success.

Especially if you come from an average background. Habits like not going after what you want, being timid to speak up for yourself, not pulling your all into what you do.

It would hinder you greatly. The world is not waiting for you; unlearn as soon as possible.

The Third Stage:

The third stage involves you creating a world of further possibilities.In planning your future, ensure you are constantly creating a future of possibilities.

Create a positive mindset , form crucial relationships that would serve you well.

Invest into yourself. Build systems and structures. You would find that you become better equipped to handle the future.

We are always creating the future. Whether consciously or unconsciously, we are laying steps, foundations and bricks to the Future. Rather than leaving the future to chance, it is up to us to create the very future we desire.
