How is that possible?!?!?

How is that possible?!?!?

Did you ever wonder how certain things are possible? Like, seriously..how do they do that? I wish I could see the look on some people's face when they read the next line in this article...

TriageNow averaged a 1.6% Emergency Room referral rate in 2018.

You read that correctly...1.6% ER referral rate. That is what a field-based mentality for workplace injuries does, it stops the flow of minor injuries into the ER for care. There are two MAJOR reasons this is important:

  1. Better Employee Experience-- Getting injured at work sucks, but the last thing you want to pile on top of workplace injury is an extensive wait time for basic care instructions. Get the triage nurse on the phone, follow her instructions, and get on with your day.
  2. Cost Containment-- most ER visits are going to be 5x to even 8x the cost of a typical Urgent Care visit, and the care is basically the same for a minor injury. ITS MINOR...how much variance do you think there is to the treatment protocols?

Don't let the 40% reduction in claims and the 1.6% ER referral rate mislead you. First and foremost, we are here to guide your injured employees to the appropriate level of care the BY-PRODUCT of this approach is our results, not the other way around. Feel free to contact me to learn more.
