How is Pochettino’s relationship with the directors of Tottenham?
MAURICIO POCHETTINO ILLUSTRATES HOW HE CONVERSED WITH THE TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS’ CHAIRMAN DANIEL LEVY IN MILAN AND WHY THEY HAVE ‘MOVED ON.’ FROM A TOUGH SUMMER.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking about his connection with the club’s chairman Daniel Levy. The Tottenham Spurs boss had earlier revealed that they had a difficult summer. Although, the pair had held a few meetings and had dinner together. Just to concentrate on ‘the betterment of communication’ throughout the club. Tottenham Spurs are in a tight spot at the minute with recent results. Which is why Mauricio Pochettino was asked if the pressure intensified his relationship with the chairman, Daniel Levy.
He emphasized that he had latterly been chatting with the chairman. They talked about all things Tottenham Spurs and also that discrepancies are standard in any company, inside or outside football. “We move on, from the summer we move on. We were together in Milan at the FIFA The Best awards. He came with me, Jesus, my wife, and Steve Hitchen. It was a very nice time to spend together and talk about many things,” he said. Pochettino continued “If we are not in a good way, we don’t have a good relationship to spend a day together. There’s no point if you don’t have a good relationship.”
“One thing is the responsibility to be here in front of you, be a manager, my responsibility, professional responsibility for the club, the team and the fans. Another is my human relationship, my personal relationship.
“I can agree or not agree but that is not going to change my personal relationship. Never is it personal. Always it’s my ideas to try to share with the people and try to get the benefit of the club.”
The Spurs manager described precisely how having several ideas is a natural part of football life.
FROM MAURICIO POCHETTINO’S INTERVIEW.
“My interest is to win and provide the club with the best tools to achieve all that the club wants,” Sometimes it happens not always, as happens in all companies, you cannot maybe share the same ideas.” also said the Tottenham Spurs manager.
“That’s normal when that happens because the vision of everyone is different. I tell you it’s not any problem. We move on after the transfer window and we try to find a way to start to win games and of course, that is not nice, to feel.”
He continued: “I think during five years it was almost all praise for Tottenham, how we are, how we work in different ways, how nice the coach is, how nice the coaching staff are and the club is.
“Now if we deserve to be criticized, we need to accept that. If we don’t get the result people expect then we need to accept the criticism. The critics can make you realize that we maybe need to wake up in something, to evolve, to find different ways to evolve.I am so relaxed because you cannot live forever in a happy world. Up and downs happen, that is life and especially in football.”
