How Pinterest works for Business
Pinterest helps people discover the things you want to plan, buy and do.
Pinterest is valuable to B2B business as well as B2C - Are you using Pinterest?
Here's how it works.
- People Pin your content
- A Pin is an image or video that people add to Pinterest.
- People add Pins directly from websites or apps using the Pin It button.
- Any Pin can be repinned and all Pins link back to their sources
- This is how you can get referral traffic.
The Pin Cycle
- Pins can be almost anything—a gift, recipe, or even a quote.
- Adding the “Pin It” button to your website allows people to use it to add your images and or videos to Pinterest.
The Pin Boards
- People organize Pins into collections called boards and share their boards with others.
- The same Pin might be added to lots of different boards across lots of interests
- A board will tell a unique story, usually about favourites things, or what that person cares about. People can then follow boards if they like what they see.
Discovering Interests
- People can follow all of someone’s boards or just the ones they like best.
- As they discover and follow more Pinners and boards, their Pinterest newsfeed becomes more relevant and personal to their interests.
- Pinterest helps people discover things in a very simple eye catching, visual way.
- Other pinners might find something they love while browsing your boards.
- They can find you by scrolling through a category that you may be listed in or they may search for you directly.
Interests of Pinners Connect people with people.
- Pinterest connects people through shared interests whether that is their passions, hobbies, tastes, sports or values.
- Inspire others by using Pinterest in a personal and authentic way
