Episode 70 is now live, featuring the CEO and Founder of Predictabill, Sarah Michalczuk . Sarah dropped one of my favorite lines ever stated on the podcast, saying that Insurance Companies are "a pile of cash and a bunch of promises". That line alone should be enough to motivate you to have a listen, but more details about Sarah and her company below!

Sarah Michalczuk flew from New York all the way down to Texas to be on the show, and beside the fact that she traveled such a great distance just to be there, I am also always grateful to hear first-hand the personal stories of successful entrepreneurs. Highlighting the journeys of innovators betting on themselves to solve big industry problems has become one of my favorite subjects to cover on the podcast.
Sarah is the Founder and CEO of Predictabill, a company that allows you to "compare the health insurance you have with what you could get, and see what’s different since last year." With Predictabill you can analyze options from your employer (including COBRA), your spouse’s employer, healthcare.gov, and more.
Sarah had a personal experience with a high deductible health plan early on in her career, that was an eye-opening moment for her. Faced with a $400 out of pocket expense, when she only had $2,000 to her name and living in a new city, she realized how not understanding the mechanics of your health plan could be devastating to a person's budget. This is also when she was introduced to the importance of picking the right health plan up front, especially when presented with multiple options with an employer-sponsored plan.
Sarah jokes that when she left the corporate world to build Predictabill, that her friends were like "oh is this the idea you were always talking about when we were having drinks"?! They weren't surprised that she was going to go down this path, as she was so passionate in helping people understand the importance of this problem.
