How to pick the right entrance mat

How to pick the right entrance mat

Entrance Mats reduce cleaning costs, improve indoor air quality, preserve interior flooring and help to prevent slips, trips & falls. The utilization of matting ensures that the majority of dirt will be stopped at the entrance. Entrance mats can also be customised to help promote your business as your logo can be incorporated into the design of the Entrance Mats.

So picking the right entrance mat is not always easy, but we are here to help. Please find our easy guidance below or send through your requirements and we will come back to you with the right proposal.

This is the external part of the building and the external part of the revolving door. If you are choosing an aluminium mat, you need to have a brush or a rubber or a combination of rubber & brush insert.

These inserts can withstand the weather, the brush is great from scrubbing of the dirt from the shoes, the rubber will help to get rid of the water from the shoes.

It is strongly recommended to pick an open construction entrance mat for outside so the recess can collect the rainwater - otherwise if you choose a closed construction mat the water will be sitting on the mat and can freeze.

You can also choose to go with a Modular mat, but make sure that it will withstand the heat and the frost. Facility Flooring`s entrance mats are tested for these conditions.

The first step into the building. Due to the rainy Irish weather an entrance mat with great water absorption is required.

At the moment mats with polyamide insert have the best water absorption on the market.

There is a great selection of mats that can be picked for Zone 2 from aluminium mats, modular tiles and textile mats.

ZONE 3

Buildings with heavy traffic conditions can require additional mats to keep their floor clean and dry.

Normally these mats are recessed textile mats, but also they can be throw down mats as well that can be removed and washed.

Why not consider a logo mat for Zone 3?
