HOW PAUL STOPPED DRINKING TOO MUCH

HOW PAUL STOPPED DRINKING TOO MUCH

PAUL TELLS HIS STORY

"I enjoyed drinking to unwind after a long day at work. Gradually, however, it became more than a habit - it became a problem.

I started to experience chronic headaches, tremors, and other hangover symptoms that disrupted my life and career.

Despite my efforts to quit drinking, I always found myself back in the same cycle.

It wasn't until I came to terms with the damage my drinking had caused that I realized I needed to make a change.

For many years, I refused to admit that my drinking was causing any problems. I always excused my behavior and drinking and told myself that I was in control.

But deep down, I knew that wasn't true. I hated to admit that I was powerless over alcohol, but the truth was that I couldn't control my drinking.

As a lawyer, I took great pride in handling complex cases and overcoming challenges. But when it came to my drinking, I felt powerless.

Despite my best efforts, I couldn't stay stopped. Every time I tried to quit drinking, I would experience intense cravings and withdrawal symptoms that made it hard to resist the urge to drink again.

My drinking not only affected my health but also impacted my personal and professional life. It affected my marriage, work, and relationships with friends and family. I knew I needed to make a change, but I didn't know where to start."

SHE MADE IT EASY

Paul continues,

"A friend told me about Pamela, and I decided to give it a try.

I immediately knew I could trust her, and she would not judge me.
She helped me set up a support team and was with me all the way.

She never criticized me when I made slip-ups but supported me to win.

It was not easy, but I turned the corner.

Pamela made sure I knew that I was not alone in my struggle. I began to realize that admitting I had a problem with alcohol was the first step.

It was a long and challenging journey, but we were committed to making it work.

Today, I am living a fulfilling life. My health is slowly returning, and I am reversing the damage I allowed alcohol to do to my body.

I am grateful to Pamela for helping me get my family back, my health back, and my career success beyond anything I could have hoped for."

WHY DO LAWYERS SUFFER MORE FROM ALCOHOL ABUSE?

Alcoholism is more common among lawyers than in the general population. Several factors may contribute to this, including:

Stress: Lawyers are often under a great deal of stress, both at work and in their personal lives. This stress can lead to anxiety and depression, and alcohol abuse.

Availability: Lawyers often have easy access to alcohol at work and in social settings. Social settings usually include alcohol, making it difficult to stop drinking, and more likely to drink excessively.

Lack of support: Lawyers may be reluctant to seek help for alcohol abuse because they are afraid of being judged by their colleagues or peers. This can make it more difficult for them to get the help they need.

Professional culture: The legal profession has a long history of alcohol abuse creating a culture of acceptance of alcohol abuse, making it more difficult for lawyers to recognize that they have a problem.

I like that he says you supported him to win Pamela DeNeuve. In that situation, the person is feeling vulnerable and needs a coach who is supportive.

Powerful approach to reasons that are happening below the surface. I had a friend that told me that drinking was not his problem, it was his solution. I love what you are doing to work on the root causes of stress at the roots!

I love this line..."She never criticized me when I made slip-ups but supported me to win." I know I can trust Pam. It is critical for the sole leader of a law firm to have that power in their corner. Since there is no partner to hash things out with, Pam is so necessary!
