How to OWN YOUR SUCCESS by BEing Authentically YOU!

I recently had the opportunity to be the keynote for the Administrative Professionals Leadership Summit (@Tedi Parsons)…what a fabulous group of professionals! My topic, in case you missed it, was OWN YOUR SUCCESS. Because so often we wait on the infamous ‘until’. Until I get permission…until I get promoted…until I retire…until I get noticed…you get it! The time is now. There’s an old saying: “Be there for others, but never leave yourself behind.” So, if you’re ready, I will share a potential path to OWN YOUR SUCCESS by BEing authentically you!

So, when hear the word success, what images does that conjure up for you? There are so many definitions…there are as many definitions of success as there people in the world. That’s why it’s important to define success for yourself. How do you define success?
OK…now you’ve defined it for yourself. How do you begin to OWN it? I believe, for us to OWN OUR SUCCESS, we need to shift our mindset about success. Success doesn’t happen on the outside until it happens on the inside. And so, to me, success is an INSIDE job.

My intention is to share what I’m learning on my journey…. I’m still in rough draft…you understand. I invite you to capture what has true meaning for you…a nugget you can use to move yourself forward on your journey or to overcome a roadblock or that just inspires you to take a leap into OWNING YOUR SUCCESS.
In MY life, I define success as: to live the most authentic expression of myself while contributing to the world in a meaningful way! I’ve discovered, there are 3 people in our lives that need to be in alignment in order for us to OWN OUR SUCCESS: who we were, who we are and who we are becoming…
Who we WERE…calls us to OWN OUR STORY…whatever that may be…learning to embrace our experiences. After all, we’re still standing…right?
Who we ARE…calls us to OWN OUR POWER…to stand in it…tall…grounded in our essence and knowing we have something of value to bring to the world table.
Who we are BECOMING…calls us to OWN OUR PRESENCE…to manage how we show up in the world.
So…how do we get them in flow?
· OWN YOUR STORY…OWN YOUR POWER…OWN YOUR PRESENCE
