9 年I created my first startup in 98, it solved a very basic problem and it did well and we sold out at the height of the tech boom. I got cocky on the second startup and it flopped, it was a complicated mess, went back to the basics for the 3rd and it goes from strength to strength everyday. 2 things come to mind for me, A business isn't a business until it makes money, it's a hobby and keep it simple, especially when you are just starting out. Just get something out there, get it to market, don't waste 2 years on an idea only to find out it's not going to be profitable. You should be able to validate your startup idea in months, if not weeks.
