Hello Empowered Wayers -
Have you ever noticed that we tend to focus on the negative? Politics, the natural disasters, the mass shootings?
As upsetting and unsettling as those things are, they are only a small slice of reality.
Do you also focus on the negative in your money life? Too many bills, not enough income. Too many mistakes, not enough money.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
We can identify what’s missing, but have you ever focused on what you did to improve your finances? Have you ever decided to look for abundance instead of scarcity?
It may sound too simple, but it’s how our minds work.
When women heal their money wounds, they heal the world
Did you know that studies prove that when men make mistakes, they tend to blame the outside world? They weren’t given enough information, or they weren’t told all the facts.
What do women do when they make a mistake? Then tend to blame themselves.
“I am so stupid, I should have known better.”
“I just don’t understand money. I’ll never learn.”
I know I have this tendency, but once I became aware of it, I had to intentionally change my thinking when I caught myself blaming myself.
You can change your mindset about who you are with money. Become aware of your tendencies and catch yourself in the act. Take a deep breath and pivot to positive, uplifting self-talk.
I speak more on this topic on a podcast called, “Voices of the Goddess.” Co-hosted by two amazing women, the podcast amplifies women’s voices of change.
Please take about 30 minutes to listen to our conversation. Please share it on your social media platforms if you found value.
