How to overcome resistance and skepticism towards retention programs?
Retention programs are there for the retention of staff within the workplace which is derived from a proper PMS (Performance) system to which high performers are provided with career paths that outlines succession plans to higher positions and increased responsibilities as well as a plan on how to retain a skill or person.
Part of a retention plan would be a development plan where people are offered training, skills or opportunities to study further at higher education centers by payment of the Business.
Lower performers or poor performers will receive a career path with guidance and development plans that support their mentoring, upskilling and guidance to meet better performance levels.
Therefore, a proper PMS methodology will work and contribute to the support and inclusion of staff with retention, succession and development.
