How Organized Binder Perfectly Aligns With the CTEIG

Most administrators think that the Career & Technical Education Incentive Grant that California gives out annually, must revolve around resources, tools, equipment, and training, necessary for students to obtain certifications and experiences that make them most well rounded for CTE fields. HOWEVER, of the 10 different parts of the High Quality CTE Program Evaluation Organized Binder fit perfectly and here’s how I used it:

Part 1A, revolves around offering high quality CTE curriculum and instruction that aligns to content standards. Of the same HQ Program Evaluation section, Part 3A, revolves around providing support services for students, specifically targeting those that are at risk or require an IEP, which it specifically states as an example in order to receive the full points for that section of the grant.?

For both, Organized Binder is ideal for those that teach it and those that learn from it, or more clearly stated - teachers and students.?

For newer CTE teachers, and I can’t stress enough how well it aids their teaching abilities, O.B. arranges the instruction content, which can then be integrated more easily and efficiently with other content areas, keep visible pacing for better alignment when teachers collaborate, and leaves a workable document of order and content covered, for unit revisions, additions and modifications, and adjustments as content standards may change.?

For students, all of the learning styles can benefit from the structure of a non-academic class that fuses hands-on activities with in-class learning, making the need for an “all in one place” style arrangement of what is learned easiest to study from and therefore always refer back to. Skills can be mastered and recorded, experiences validated, and Organized Binder arranges CTE course content as if we are all teaching culinary and creating masterful cookbooks.?

Students benefit from exposure to scaffolded learning while CTE teachers can focus on what they teach, instead of how to get kids to learn it. We’re all fortunate enough to have the CTEIG grant out there as a resource, so maximize the holistic learning experience for your programs with Organized Binder as a supplement to your successes for your staff and students.
