Being spent 12 years in Multinational organization and after getting international advanced certifications in mastery in team leadership coaching, I deeply observed that how organizations suffer if they don't adopt the coaching culture from the core of their heart. It has been my keen interest to see how the positive health of leaders, team and organizations are deeply connected and how coaching culture can serve for the betterment of leaders, team, business and organization maximum effectiveness.
I came to conclusion that motivation, communication, growth and development, accountability and mutual respect and trust are fundamental pillars for positive organization culture which drives the optimum revenue and growth and if leaders don't adopt the coaching culture, then basic foundation gets weak, and organization pay their prices in following number of ways.
I observed and believed and proven by research that when leaders do not act as coaches, there can be several negative consequences for both the leader and their team, such as:
1.Lack of Motivation
When leaders fail to act as coaches, they may not be able to inspire and motivate their team members to reach their full potential. This lack of motivation can lead to lower productivity, decreased job satisfaction, and higher employee turnover.
Under enormous economic inflations and crisis, organizations are reducing
their sources of external motivation in the form of incentives, bonuses, increments etc. and it was considered a vital source of motivation but now there is a shift of intrinsic motivation, and we all know that unleashing employee potential has significant contribution in stimulating the sources of intrinsic motivation which lasts longer period of time and increase the employee tendency to contribute with high potential. But how do the leaders come to know that what is intrinsic motivation? How does it activate? What can be benefits of intrinsic motivation if activated? All answers come with coaching skills, if leaders know the basics of coaching, they can ignite the hidden passion, motivation of employees and if they don't know the modern concepts of coaching, they can rely upon old traditional methods which have lost their impacts.
2.Poor Communication
Leaders who do not act as coaches may not communicate effectively with their team members, leading to misunderstandings, conflicts, and a breakdown in teamwork. Poor communication can also result in missed deadlines, mistakes, and poor-quality work.

I have seen organizations struggle in establishing transparency which hinders the open communication and leaders keep on acting on the basis of assumptions, unclear expectations, holding informations etc which bring negative energy in human interactions in the form of passive or active resistance and ultimately break into conflicts and reduction in quality work.
3.Limited Growth and Development
When leaders fail to act as coaches, they may not provide their team members with the guidance and feedback they need to develop their skills and reach their full potential. This lack of growth and development can limit the team's overall effectiveness and potential for success.
4.Lack of Accountability
Leaders who do not act as coaches may not hold their team members accountable for their actions and decisions. This can lead to a lack of ownership and responsibility among team members, which can ultimately harm the team's performance and reputation.
5.Decreased Trust and Respect
When leaders do not act as coaches, they may not build trust and respect with their team members. This can lead to a lack of engagement, loyalty, and commitment among team members, which can ultimately harm the team's overall effectiveness and success.
Overall, when leaders fail to act as coaches, they risk creating a negative work environment that can harm both their team members and the organization as a whole. Therefore, it is essential for leaders to develop coaching skills and use them to guide and support their team members.
