?? Hi, it’s Jesse!

The subject that has occupied a lot of people's minds this week concerns the "end of free social networks".

All platforms are seriously considering the question of offering a paid version which for the most part opts for a service mainly without advertising.

Some already offer paid access (Tumblr, Reddit, YouTube, Twitch), others are in the middle of the testing phase (TikTok, X, Snapchat), and Meta seems to have already validated the idea for Europe.

  • Spotify new features for podcasters: ability to personalize podcast pages, view impressions and monetization analytics

  • Bye bye Like and Repost? After deleting the title and description of articles shared on Twitter (RIP ??), Elon decided to remove the Like and Repost buttons from Tweets, they will apparently still be present if you click on the post itself
  • X for the rich: verified users (those who pay) can now limit replies to their Tweet only to other verified users, limiting the conversation only between users who are paying...

  • Edit a post: it is now possible to edit a post during the 5 minutes after its publication, and unlike X it's free lol
  • Voice threads: voice posts will also land on Twitter's competitor, with automatic transcription

BONUS: Meta's celebrity-inspired AI chatbots are now active on Instagram, ability to request early access by messaging one of the bots such as YourSisBillie (aka Kendall Jenner), ComedyZach (aka MrBeast) or CocosGotMoves (aka Charli D'Amelio).

?? How to optimize your Shorts on YouTube? Tip 5/5

Last week I talked about the "cliffhanger" concept which works very well, now we come to the last of the 5 tips for optimizing your YouTube Shorts. Next week I'm offering you a new format that I'll reveal to you at the end!

Tease the end of your video?

A "teaser" in the world of cinema is a way of capturing attention by showing a very short piece of the film, which is a captivating moment but without revealing too much to encourage people to watch the movie.

Not to be confused with a “trailer”.

A trailer you know what it is, it can last several minutes and it shows you several part from the film put together.

The teaser is therefore a much shorter concept.

A concrete example please! ??

Well as usual we're not going to beat around the bush.

You don't have time, neither do I, so much the better, that's why we get along well.

The idea is to "tease" the end of your video at the beginning of your Short.

Basically you're literally going to inform your audience to stay until the end because they're going to discover something of value.

Concrete example: if the theme of your video is to present the latest iPhone 15.

So, from the start of your video you're going to tell them "stay tuned until the end, I'm going to tell you if it's really worth buying the iPhone 15 compared to the previous version".

Increase your "view vs swipe" ratio

What you're trying to do by using this technique is to encourage your audience to stay until the end.

Yes, you are starting to know well about our dear friends "the algorithm" ??

What this smart guy loves most is when someone watches a video and stays until the end.

So it's great when you have a good "view versus swipe" ratio.

You get it, the 2 numbers we want to keep close are the number of views compared to the number of people who swipe on the next video before yours ends.

What does it look like in a short or long format? ??♀?

This can be done very well on a very short Short format of 15 seconds for example, than on a longer format of 60 seconds.

In a very short format, there is no time to worry, an example that we have all already seen is in the form of text which indicates on the video "stay until the end to find out...”.

On a longer format (60 seconds is the maximum for a Short) you have more time to be creative in your proposal, whether in text form or if you say it orally.

It's up to you to adapt according to the length of your shorts.

Here we come to the end of this series of 5 tips on how to optimize your YouTube Shorts.

What you should remember this week: increase your “views vs swipes” ratio by encouraging your audience to stay until the end.

It's already been 5 weeks, 5 weeks full of knowledge, which I also bring to you in "quick quick" mode because I know you don't have the time, we always get straight to the point, no nonsense. ??♀

And as I told you, from next week "the pro advice" will include a new format: it's directly a creator who will give you his own advice, in video form.

And obviously I know you don't have time, it will be done in 45 seconds to 1 minute maximum.

Subscribe so you don't miss it, but afterward it's you who decides if you think Creator Boost brings you value or not ??

Happy Monday and take care of yourself!

??????

Next week I will write from Barcelona, and where will you be?
