When managing conversion campaigns, the default views in Facebook Ads Manager can be quite limiting.
To truly understand your customer journey and pinpoint where drop-offs occur, customizing your columns is very important.
While this might seem obvious to some, I frequently encounter this issue with new clients, especially among e-commerce businesses.
Even companies generating significant revenue from FB ads often stick to the default columns in Ads Manager.
Without a custom setup, identifying funnel issues becomes challenging, making it difficult to address them effectively.
Many e-commerce stores mistakenly attribute problems to their creative or pricing, which isn’t always the case.
Custom columns help you pinpoint exactly where you’re losing customers after they click on your ad.
You miss out on 90% of the story without this setup.
REMEMBER
You can't edit the existing or saved columns as per now. Maybs you can edit the existing columns in future. You have to create another in order to change the exisitng view preset.
Here’s how to set up your columns:
Step 1: Navigate to Campaigns, Ad Sets, or Ads.

You Can Arrange the columns in this order:

- Budget
- Reach
- Click Through Rate (CTR)
- Cost Per Click (CPC)
- Landing Page Views (LPV)
- Cost Per LPV
- Conversation Rate

- Cost Per Purchase
- Website Purchases Conversion Value
- Website Purchase ROAS
- Frequency
- Relevancy
- CPM
Don’t forget to save this setup as a preset and hit apply. I usually name it ‘Ecommerce view.’
This setup will give you a comprehensive view of your e-commerce store’s funnel. You can also add metrics like Initiate Checkout and Add Payment Info if needed. This view will help you get started and provide a clear performance overview for anyone accessing the account.
