How to optimize any product according to additive thinking

"Additive Manufacturing is the identifying name of a whole series of manufacturing techniques and technologies in which the finished product is formed without the need to melt the material into molds or to remove it from a raw form. The additive nature of this class of techniques - known as AM additive manufacturing compared to traditional ones, typically subtractive, is the key feature that gives the AM enormous potential in the most varied fields of application, from aerospace to biomedical, dental all 'jewelery. The AM allow a great deal of freedom in the ideation of the piece, indefinitely extending the range of geometries and complexities that can be achieved, removing design and machining constraints, with a view to rapid prototyping or small series. In AM techniques, the material is made point by point and layer by layer, in accordance with the original model, similar to what happens when a document is digitally printed. Precisely from this derives the now popular meaning of "3D Printing", with which the AM is universally identified, and which is bringing innovation both in production processes on a commercial scale, and in domestic realizations "

Skorpion has retained many customers by providing them with advice and products.

Currently our company is a benchmark for many automotive companies.

The automotive and aeronautic sectors, together with the medical sector, are those that are soon benefiting from Additive Manufacturing with increasingly higher numbers (See Chart). But to make production of additive manufacturing it is necessary to redesign the pieces considering the new additive methodologies, for this Skorpion is the ideal partner as it manages to combine the old subtractive technology with the new additive technology.

The AM market is growing both in the polymer sector, but especially in the metal world where it is possible to produce particular steel, aluminum and other metals by adding material only where needed. Almost a year now The two new machines, with the new HP technology are committed to full time for additive manufacturing, and represent the evolution of our company.

Our software (Inspire and Evolve of Altair) are performing for the topological optimization of the pieces. This means being able to offer our customers the optimal solution for better performance and weight redu.
