How to Optimise Content with SEO? - 6 Simple Steps
Content has been the benchmark of grabbing keen paying customers that you can convert to brand loyalists. Through Search Engine Optimization, you can use boost your content's reach to a specified target audience with the necessary keywords, backlinks, internal linking and much more.
Before you decide to scroll through this piece, let's walk through the ways in which I take on SEO head-on to gain more eyeballs and target the 0th position on search engines like Google:
- Use Ubersuggest and Google suggest (google search with the suggestions on your search) to get the best keywords. There are other tools that target high volume and low volume keywords but that's not as important as the competitiveness of the keyword. Ensure that you do not write content with keyword stuffing as it will ruin the purpose of using keywords.
- Add the internal links that you're targeting at the top of the blog and have one high volume external link like Wikipedia with a good DA (domain authority).
- Do your research and gather information from the top five blogs, pages and topics in a Google search. This will ensure that you find trending information and use LSI keywords embedded in their copy to target search queries and ensure that you gain a foothold with the top ten searches.
- Write naturally but ensure that you add keywords mainly in the first para. Ensure that you do not add a link in the first sentence or paragraph to ensure that you do not have a high bounce rate. Also, to ensure that you have low bounce rate, improve readability, remove pop-ups and add relevant call-to-actions.
- When publishing ensure that you write Meta Descriptions and Meta Titles. Choose your focus keywords and ensure that you target long tail keywords (keywords that are three to four words long) for that.
- Finally, after you publish your blog, give it one week's time and use Google Search Console (and better still use Semrush) to try and find out which keywords are ranking and add those to your blog.
Voila! There you have your blog, up and ready which is SEO friendly and checks all the boxes to ensure that it can rank among the first page results on SERP.
