How open-minded are you?

What's your instant reaction when someone says - network marketing?

I had no idea about NWM when I left the Army; a traditional pyramid institution that every one applauds you for joining; hero worships you for putting on the uniform and wearing medals; and assumes that because of your length of service and Operational tours that you did or the rank you achieved, that your awesome!?Without ever enquiring whether you’re a genuinely decent person with high personal standards, morals and values or not. And I can tell you now, not everyone in uniform is a trusted man or woman!

On the other hand when you join a NWM company, every one assumes your mad, daft, stupid, desperate and have been duped by a scam or have been brain washed! or they cry it won’t work, it’s is a pyramid scheme (illegal in the UK and USA) etc.?It was the Army that taught me to shoot to kill (I’ve never needed to do it!) not a NWM company!

I can only voice my own experience of being an ethical and sustainable B Corporation Business owner on the NWM business model. That the business system is brilliant, perfectly designed for the modern digital world where you can work from anywhere you have Internet connection.

It has given me a fabulous community of inspiring people, who have your back, encourage you to grow, be yourself and allow you to run your part of the business at your pace, with no discrimination or glass ceilings.?

This has been invaluable transitioning from Military to Civilian life, something I didn't think about on leaving the Army, of how stressful the transition would be, and of how ill prepared I was for civilian life after 20yrs in the Regular Army.

Army life is both and empowering and limiting to the individual, you may get the opportunity to do some amazing and challenging things in demanding environments, but you need permission to promote and be posted somewhere new and that is too slow for some.

NWM is a business system with less stress and investment than starting a traditional one, no stock, nor premises needed. And no-one needs permission from anyone else to move up the promotion ladder in their business - we just need to let go of our own limiting beliefs! And learn how to run the business.

So don’t knock NWM or those who are doing it, we’ve seen an opportunity, we are not afraid of change and we are pursuing our dreams.

We are not a faceless corporation with multiple brands. We are our brand. We love our products / service and believe in our business. And most of us are passionate about achieving more in our lives, helping others and truly believe that everyone can do the same.

Being in NWM has enabled me to become self-employed, learn how to be a business owner and investor, to live a life of my choice and not of others. And I'm still learning. The extra few pennies (small at first) will grow, and that can mean freedom for many.

And your right, (but as with any career), only a few will make it to the top, those with an open mind to learn and the self determination and leadership not to give up.

The % chance of a private soldier or a 2nd Lieutenant making it all the way to Chief of the General Staff a 4 Star General is exceptionally small, but most would never criticise anyone at any level in the Army for their decision to join and subsequently leave their Military career behind.

So?please be kind in your response to people with a NWM business who approach you. If they’ve just started, they are on a massive learning curve and breaking away from the norm, battling their own mind-set - that's bravery for you; and they need your encouragement and support.

If you believe in supporting home grown businesses, then support your friend who’s in NWM.?

And if you dream of doing something more with your life then consider joining your friend in NWM, you never know it may be the best opportunity and community that you say yes to.
