How This ONE Strategy Will Eradicate Poverty For 100,000 People In 2024

On this day in 1929, a King was born.

Not the kind of king who lords over a kingdom; the kind of king who lived a life of service and shared his vision where people would have access to basic resources so they can live a life of dignity.

On this day, January 15, 2024, I honor my Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity brother, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy by sharing a strategy that will eradicate poverty for 100,000 people in 2024.

In a recent interview I conducted with another Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity brother - CJ WEBSTER , I shared my vision for The Collaboration Creates Currency Movement and how it will impact 100,000 lives this year. When I speak about the movement eradicating poverty, I'm looking at how many people will obtain access to a foundational framework that will empower and inspire them to break the cycle of lack that impacts those with and without money.

Poverty is defined as "the state of one who lacks a usual of socially acceptable amount of money or material possession" and according to Britannica, "poverty is said to exist when people lack the means to satisfy their basic needs."

While the prevailing thought is that poverty is connected to a lack of financial resources, there are other types of poverty that affect members of our society all the same. They include:

• Relational Poverty - "the idea that societal poverty exist if there is a lack of human relationship" (Wikipeidia - Relational Poverty)
• Spiritual Poverty - "feelings of emptiness, apathy, boredom, aimlessness, or alienation" (Spiritual poverty – What does it mean? - Exploring Spiritual Questions)
• Intellectual Poverty - refers to a lack of access to education, information and opportunities for intellectual growth.

In 1967, in his final speech to Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) entitled "Where Do We Go From Here", Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated "There is nothing new about poverty. What is new, however, is that we now that the resources to get rid of it..."

What is new, however, is that we now have the resources to get rid of it…Why should there be hunger and privation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know‐how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?…There is no deficit in human resources, the deficit is in human will…The time has come for an all‐out world war against poverty.”— Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., "Where Do We Go From Here?" The Collaboration Creates Currency Movement was created to break the cycle of poverty and build wealth - one connection at a time. Yet that focus is not purely on the financial definition of poverty, it is on the other three types of poverty that when addressed and eradicated, will lead to an increase in financial prosperity.

Over the next few months, I will leverage my platform and the platforms of others to promote The M.M.D. Framework, the foundational principle that gives The Collaboration Creates Currency Movement it's true focus.

Once an individual understands and internalize The M.M.D. Framework, they will able to travel the "Road To Currency" and overcome the type of poverty that prevents them from being fulfilled in every aspect of life.
