How one family office is cleaning up Philly’s polluted waterways
Meet Bob Gould, Canadian, family man and manages some of the wealthiest families in North America, and now he is supporting cleaner oceans by cleaning up one city at a time. How can one person achieve this you ask? Well the answer is surprisingly simple, enter Seabin, a young Australian clean tech startup on a mission to cleanup 100 cities by 2050.
“I saw what Seabin were doing, I met the team and just thought wow, so simple, so much passion, so much transparency and so much impact. So I invested, simple as that. The funds are being used to monitor the microplastics in the Delaware river. Seabin were self funding a project partnership with the US EPA, and I just thought, this is huge, how can I support you”
Says Bob Gould, of the Gould Family Office
Whilst the investment amount is undisclosed, Bob is now in the process of taking on a seat on the board of Directors with Seabin.
“Bob just gets it, he sees what we are doing, understands the importance of data, our mission, our partnerships and he was just in”?
Says Pete Ceglinski, CEO & Co Founder of Seabin.
“I immediately saw that Bob had the bigger picture vision, a wealth of knowledge and experience that could fill a gap at Seabin, and that he also had strong family values, so we brought him onboard to join our mission”
Continues Pete.
The deliverables for cleaning up an entire city is as simple as the process, deliver accurate, frequent and transparent impact data the world can see and use.
