How often should you post videos on your YouTube channel?

If someone says, you should publish one video per day, would you do it?
Let's revise the question. Can you do it?
Quantity doesn't necessarily mean success.
What we need to ask ourselves is -- "How many can we commit in a certain period for the long term?"
Let me give you some scenarios.
------
Creator number 1 is pumped with his YouTube channel. He knew he could publish one video every day. Since he needs to publish everyday, he can only record and upload real-time -- one video, one upload, every single day.
He was consistent. He did this for 3 to 4 weeks.
And then, life happens. He stopped. He's burnout. He finds it hard to create more videos.
------
Creator number 2 is ready and excited for her YouTube channel. But she cannot commit to one video per day. One video per week might be ideal for her.
She records at least 2 to 3 videos per week and schedule to publish one per week.
She was consistent for a month.
But she stopped because of some personal matters she needs to attend to.
------
Here's my question.
Which channel, do you think, YouTube would likely favor more? Creator 1 or 2?
You see, YouTube prefers the creator who is committed to publishing videos consistently.
If you start every day, make sure you will do it for the long-term. Because if you suddenly stopped, you are hurting your channel rather than helping it grow.
Creator number 2 did stop but she already scheduled to publish one video per week. If she's recording 2 to 3 videos per week, she still has enough videos for maybe 1, 2 or even 3 months, while attending to personal matters.
That's what you have to keep in mind.
And yes, if you're new to YouTube, one video per week is the ideal number (at least). One video per month won't give enough traction to see your progress.
Remember, consistency is more important than quantity.

4 年[You see, YouTube prefers the creator who is committed to publishing videos?consistently.?] I didn't know this. But you're right, Maria. Once a week is definitely better and easier for us to do. Creating videos everyday just seems so daunting. It might even make us procrastinate more.
