With preseason #1 North Carolina teetering on the NCAA Tournament bubble, we did some deep-dive research. When was the last time a preseason #1 team missed March Madness entirely? How often does college basketball's top-ranked team in the fall end up cutting down the nets, or at least making the Final Four, in March/April? (The numbers are fascinating.) ALSO: A long, fun, four-part conversation with Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams. #LinkedInSports

2 年Interesting topic. I talk about this UNC team with my friends. I think you have a combination players with ego issues and they didn't put in the work in the summer filled NIL commitments, or maybe it was just a special run? Do they have the ability to turn it on? I think the season is done. What is really interesting, is where are they going? Caleb Love is the head of the snake and they go as he goes. I think this team will be better if he leaves because you have better balance and Hubert has kids that are ready to play. RJ has a year and Bacot has a Covid year left. I think Hubert is still trying to figure it out. But you can't teach effort and pride and sometimes this team lacks both. I'll hang up and listen. ??
