How to Nurture Your Clients

Business growth is something that everyone wants. Some folks think they should attract more new clients to achieve that growth. Although this works, gaining a new client is more expensive than selling more to existing customers. One of the best ways to secure more business is to nurture your relationship with your current customers. In other words, make them happy and show them you care about them. Here are some ways you can do just that.
Reward Their Loyalty?
One way to ensure happy clients is through customer loyalty incentive programs. Better than straight discounts, these programs will keep customers coming back to you. Develop relevant offers by looking at your clients’ past purchases. This history will help reveal the best offers. For instance, you could implement a ‘Buy-(x)-get-one-free’ promotion. Or maybe offer free delivery with the (second-third-fourth) purchase. Another way to encourage loyalty is by making your clients feel special by granting them early access to a product release or offering exclusive products or services that only regular customers can receive.?
Organize Events
Getting together with your clients will help you keep the relationship going and strengthen your bond. It’s a bit like dating! Depending on the situation, you will need to determine if in-person events or virtual online sessions are more appropriate. Still, live events are great for receiving the best feedback from your customers. Gathering them together in a group allows you to network and share ideas. It is also an opportunity to provide everyone with a small token of your appreciation for their business.
Ask for Feedback ? [includes link to the previous article about feedback posted on 3/4/22]
One of the most reliable marketing strategies is getting feedback from your customers. Asking someone their opinion is usually music to their ears, and it will go a long way to solidifying your relationship. Staying in touch with your customers is a foundational element of nurturing those customers. Collecting their feedback regularly also sends a message to them that you care.?
If the feedback is negative, gracefully accept it. Make sure you understand the situation and do whatever you can to make it right. Own up to mistakes if that is the issue. Follow up and make any necessary adjustments going forward.

Send Personal Notes
Everyone likes to be appreciated. Sending thank-you notes to your clients gives them a sense of belonging. Go the extra mile and send your repeat clients handwritten thank-you notes (not emails or texts). Receiving such correspondence will be a delightful surprise. If you have hundreds of clients, it may not be possible to send handwritten notes to each one, but they will still appreciate a printed letter. It’s the thought that counts.
Nurturing your clients will pay off when they keep buying from you and help you gain referrals. Giving customers the attention they deserve should always be part of your sales strategy. ??
