How to Navigate the Unknown: My new TEDx talk

"If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up someplace else.”

This statement by baseball legend and "philosopher" Yogi Berra pushes us to think about the future. But how do we know where to go if the future is unknown and volatile?

How can some people navigate chaos and uncertainty with ease, while others struggle?

In my new TEDx talk I explore how great leaders can navigate the unknown.

I believe the answer lies in thinking back to January 2020 (just before the pandemic became more apparent) and ask yourself three questions. Even if you don't have a lot of time I recommend to watch these first 2 minutes of the talk (and then hopefully more :-)

The questions reflect on the lessons learned of the past two years in "pandemic life" and I think the answers to the questions can show the secret to success for uncertain times.

Your like, comment and share on the talk on Youtube would of course be highly appreciated.

Well articulated and insightful Lars. Key takeaway is on the approaches for discovery of unknown unknowns..This requires a different mindset and atmosphere, equally critical as like the other three quadrants.

Very insightful! Well done, Lars!

Thanks for sharing these great thoughts Lars. The most important message for me is that one needs to have a Vision and execute on it. Hope to see you again on one of the Belgian PMI Fairs in the near future.

Well-spoken and very insightful Lars. Some excellent points. The ability to navigate the unknown is so important as is the ability to take others along and find a certain amount of comfort/peace in the process of leading in a VUCA world. Thank you for sharing the video.

Very insightful… your best one yet!
