How my road trip bike journies gave birth to INK PPT?

It never matters “Where You Start” !!!

What really makes the difference is that “You Start” !!!

Mountain ranges of Himalayas serve as the majestic incentive for your entrepreneurial endeavours,(At least for me) full of challenges and fascinating landscapes. Learning to improve while capturing every experience of bliss and hassle catalyzes both, your personal and professional life.

The same was with the roles in my story of “the making”, the lead characters are “Royal Enfield”, “Tough terrains of Himachal Pradesh”, Deepankar and, of course, “INK PPT”.

THE IGNITION

I started the journey with my best friend Deepankar to conquer the unconquered of the Himalayas on the mighty Royal Enfield in the extreme weather through non-motorable roads following weak bridges, rivers, steep inclinations and then the free downfall offered by gravity.

The hurdles were deadly but offered excitement in every bit.

The same challenge remained in front of our families, who were reluctant to let us go on the bikes for days; there was no hope of decent food, network coverage, human beings and even life. But, deep inside, they knew that we are ready for taking up the challenge, no force could stop us from riding high with uncertainties.

THE JOURNEY

No doubt, Himalayas are breathtaking in every aspect, but those photographs never apprehend the struggle of being alone, without the trace of living substance in the 100s of km. They never capture the difficulty of riding in excessive downpour and thunderstorms with drenched clothes, chilly winds and snow, capable of freezing us in minutes.

There were cases when someone was left behind, met with an accident, fell sick, or their bike stopped moving. Every one of us held hands with the spirit of teamwork, moved together without admitting to terrifying stipulations.

THE TUNING

The challenges of riding in the Himalayas is similar to that of an entrepreneurial adventure. These rides let us comprehend that the fear of losing is real, but we still have to take risks to get ahead on our exploration of unknown. The risks could be terrifying, but prospects of success offer a ray of hope, which keeps us moving. 

Experiences like these come with many first-timers, like fixing the puncture, cooking in the woods, jumping in a waterfall, tackling mountain sickness, building tents, and most importantly, taking care of the team as the family does.

The same touches the entrepreneurs when they take up the first project, receive the first payment, make the whole website on their own, manage every department single-handedly. Also, there are hurdles like delay in payments, deletion of crucial files, technical failures, employees leaving abruptly and whatnot.

All this leads to a small team converting into a bigger one, and the challenges also grow significantly.

The life of an entrepreneur is the same as that of a biker, as every team member is helped and taken ahead, irrespective of the situation with the vision of a breakthrough.

THE FULL THROTTLE

These challenges never let us step back; they motivate us for the longest jump of success. 

When we conquered life in the mountains, we realized that running a business requires limited courage and strength over that.

We got to realize that entrepreneurs never get frightened of the problems but are aware that the problems are inevitable.

There is no precise answer to “What does it take?”, the ride gets determined by the regular overcoming of fears and obstacles. The time people start to undermine themselves or begin wishing for a risk-free life, every innovative idea goes down the gutter.

Professional success demands the same amount of intensity for business, we showcased in every trip of ours, and the same is applicable for every other passion like painting, writing, cooking, Hiking, but the intent to improve and embrace the shortcomings remains identical.
