How my Father inspired me to join KIG Kraft Tech Containers Pvt Ltd

Like many of you, I'm a product of my upbringing, deeply influenced by the figures who raised me. None more so than my father, Hemant Saraogi, the man behind the success of KIG Kraft Tech Containers Pvt Ltd. A figure of unwavering resilience, tenacity, and boundless wisdom, he has been my guiding light in this ever-evolving industry of corrugated boxes and packaging.

Reflecting on my father's journey, one cannot help but be captivated by his unique trajectory. His early struggle with CA exams, the decisive shift towards business, and the manifold challenges he faced while setting up a new venture; every chapter of his life is a testament to his indomitable spirit. As a child, I would listen in awe to these tales, wondering if I could ever tread a similar path.

Fast forward to today, as I sit in my office chair, reminiscing those old times, it's surreal to realise how much I've indeed walked in his footsteps. Just as life nudged my father from Chartered Accountancy to business, my journey too, was not a linear one. With a background in marketing, I was initially poised for a corporate role. I never wanted to join my father and the ‘family business’. I had set out to create a name and identity of my own. I even worked in various companies to make this happen. But, the entrepreneurial tales from my father's world were too compelling to resist. I found myself irresistibly drawn to the world of corrugated boxes - an industry that had given my father so much and had much more to offer. As a teenager, I probably did not understand and value how much I could do in this business. The foundation that my father had laid out was the perfect platform for me to build on. Today, thanks to the groundwork laid by him, I am able to work towards innovation in my field.?

At the heart of my father's narrative is his community involvement, a quality that has influenced me deeply. I remember him attending trade meetings, discussing the latest industry trends, and how those enriching interactions positively impacted our business. His involvement in the FCBM is something that has always stood out to me. Following in his footsteps, I have also tried to become an active part of this organisation. From the very first time I attended an FCBM event, I gained numerous valuable insights and got a chance to connect with those in my industry with whom I am deeply inspired. This ingrained sense of community led me to seek collaborative solutions at KIG, engaging with our clients, team members, and industry peers in ways that foster shared growth.

As I took on my role at KIG Kraft Tech Containers, the guiding principles that my father shared with me served as my moral compass. While I'm humbled by the incredible growth we've achieved together, it is the journey, filled with opportunities, challenges, learning, and relationships, that truly makes this experience invaluable. I am fortunate to have my father beside me as we strive for our shared vision of expanding KIG Kraft Tech Containers' capacity fivefold in the next five years. His unwavering confidence and practical wisdom are the foundations upon which our shared dream rests.
