Consultants, my clients wrote a page on my website.
They didn’t have to, I didn’t ask them to, and they didn’t even know they were doing it. (If you’re a client of mine, I love you, don’t worry, it’s not what it sounds like. ?? )?
But I’ve always said that if you genuinely listen to your clients, your copy writes itself, and I’ve been following my own advice with renewed vigor. I’ve been asking key questions, adopting a beginner’s mindset, and listening deeply to the answers.?
Because the issues women are having with their businesses, how they want their businesses to be, and what they want their businesses to bring to their lives… that’s all different today than it was even a few months ago.
The result of all of this listening is the new Academy page, which is taken straight from the words my clients have shared in their conversations with me. So in a sense, my clients wrote this page.
Check out the new page here (pay special attention to the first section, the “get out of your head” section, the “all the decisions” section, and the “what you’re capable of” area.)
You can use this strategy, too, in your business.?
Because if you ask the right questions and really hear what your clients are saying, then you start to understand their situation, problems, and what they’re looking for in their own words.?
And your clients’ words will always be more powerful than your marketing copy.

Hi! I'm Leah Neaderthal. I'm a sales coach for women consultants and the founder of Smart Gets Paid.
When I left my corporate career and started my first consulting business, I learned three things very quickly:
