New Year’s Eve. -20°C. Snow everywhere. Fireworks painting the sky in dazzling colors. It was the perfect moment for a family selfie, and I was determined to capture it.
Standing on the edge of a snowy cliff (bad idea #1), I fumbled with my phone, gloves, and frozen fingers. As I hit the click… BAM! I slipped and went face-first into the snow. For a split second, it felt like the ground had conspired against me, but thankfully, the snow cushioned my dramatic fall.
I got up, covered in snow, laughing at myself. I realized two things:
Always be mindful of where you’re standing (life lesson and selfie tip).
Sometimes, you just have to laugh off your stumbles and move forward.
That moment taught me to believe in my ability to recover—whether from a literal fall or life’s curveballs. I stood up, took that selfie, and enjoyed the fireworks with even more joy, knowing I’d turned a slip into a story to remember.
As we step into 2025, let’s embrace this:
Falls happen. Learn from them, laugh at them, and rise stronger.
Believe in yourself—you’ve got this!
