How much of your current demand generation processes do you want to remain as they are?

This?Saturday , I was fortunate enough to attend the?TedX conference ?in?Aberdeen . It was a great day and as you would expect, all very informative talks.?It was?Zoe Morrison 's who talk was about?change , and it made me think.?Her presentation was called,?"Why we say people don’t like?change ".

The talk was about her personal journey that she and her?husband ?had thrust upon them when he sustained life changing injuries in a?motorcycle? accident.

She has since studied change and the reasons why we don't like it.

She gave great pearl of?wisdom ,?"when people are refusing to change, ask them this one question,

?"what of the current situation do you want to remain the same?""

She went onto say...

“It’s a?myth? that people don’t like change.?People use it as an insult, to abdicate responsibility or blame someone else, but that’s not a helpful response and I feel that we need to create a new narrative around change. We need to change, and we need to get better and faster at changing."

This really struck me especially in the line of?sales? and?marketing ?I work in.?We live in a world where companies would, or seem to, prefer to go bust or layoff people. Rather than lift their head up and realise that the world has changed.

A world where digital rules and where 30 year old sales and marketing methods such as cold calling, email marketing and advertising, have no place.?
