How Much Longer Are We In A Seller's Shangri-La?
In a year that often seems like living in slow-motion action in The Matrix films, it’s paradoxical that we’re already well into Fall and the holiday season is around the corner!
During these times we begin hauling out seasonal décor and, especially this year, thinking about how we will carry on with cherished community and family traditions. In Fort Worth, businesses and community organizations have made incredible pivots to ensure that many of these traditions can be celebrated virtually or with safety features in mind.
For instance, still searching for the perfect pumpkins? Outdoor pumpkin patches across DFW are listed here on the WilliamsTrew Blog. Heading into Thanksgiving, the GM Financial Parade of Lights has been reimagined and will also go on – indoors at the Fort Worth Convention Center! Floats will be spaced along Main Street downtown for up-close family fun and photo ops prior to the indoor parade. More things to do and a calendar of events can always be found at www.FortWorth.com.
Amid these tradition transitions, we have a 18.6% surge in home sales over this time last year, due in part to work-from-home trends and historic low interest rates. This Oct. 23 article in the Dallas Morning News details the "Shangri-La" of population growth, low inventory and high demand that is driving this phenomenon in North Texas.
Buyers should take advantage of those low interest rates soon, in addition to other financial certainties such as tax structures, because home prices are still climbing and the economic environment could potentially shift after next week's election.
If your family or work situation is changing and you find yourself on the hunt with scarce inventory, please don’t hesitate to contact me. You’ll receive first-hand knowledge of the Fort Worth area, personalized service (not talking to an assistant) and astute negotiating experience. Be the first to know about homes for sale with WilliamsTrew’s broad market reach. And feel secure with our virtual home tour capabilities or safety protocols for touring and showing in person.
