How much do we complain? Rather how much can we complain?
On 21st Oct 2022 iSpace, Inc. had an opportunity to host 31 children from an Orphanage in Hyderabad, in collaboration with CHANCE Foundation , a non-profit organization formed by a group of millennials with a vision to bring education to the doorstep of the underprivileged children.
The day would remain etched in our hearts forever for 2 reasons.
One, totally inspired by the young engineers in the below pic Venkata Sagar Narkedamilli @turiyadandu whose chose to contribute and make a difference to the society with their thoughtful act and gesture which took the form of CHANCE Foundation
And second and most touching was the spirit of the kids who visited our office. It was their first time ever to a corporate hub like hi-tech city and their faces gleamed with joy and hope as they were looking forward to an eventful day.
On the day of their visit, we took them around Cyber Gateway Building for a building tour and around the iSpace office for an office tour, planned movie time in our conference hall, followed by lunch, cultural activities, games and gifts. We asked our colleagues to bring their kids as well to work that day, for them to understand how challenging life can be on the other side and to inculcate a habit of giving and be more compassionate towards others.

All through this, somewhere, deep down our souls, we couldn't help keeping our emotions intact. As parents we do so much for our children, we shower love, we pamper them, we strive to provide all their needs, take care of their well-being, stand by them to give courage and on the other hand these kids have no one to embrace them, stay by them through the night to drive away their fears, hold them during their weak times or in times of need, encourage them to achieve big, no one to fulfill their small desires, no one to lean on, despite which these kids are learning to survive and they already seemed to have learnt that life isn't so favorable to them, to live and be content with what they have, but what was very evident was their spirit. All of them have dreams to become big one day and they believe they can do something worthwhile with their lives. What a courage, what an acceptance and what a resilience these kids showed up.
Observing all this, was just thinking do we even deserve to complain? Not having parents as a small child, missing the nurturing of a mom and care of a dad, could be the worse one could ever face in life and there we see them standing tall.
And we? Complaining, sulking, making excuses and giving up for no good reasons. Don't we need to be more thankful, express more gratitude, be more compassionate, inculcate more giving and less grumbling? Just a food for thought!
Any time we come across an orphan kid, let's hold their hand and show them love. Any form of help we can do, let's do that without a second thought!
Thank you iSpace, Inc. for all the meaningful initiatives!

2 年We get to see life in a different perspective by such instances in life. I was truly amazed looking at these kids from the "chance to give" foundation, they were not complaining about anything and were truly happy visiting iSpace, Inc. office and they were just happy to be interacting with us and spending time with all of us. Though we are blessed in many ways, we still keep complaining about many aspects. I wish all those kids my best wishes and have a bright future ahead.

2 年A great initiative taken by iSpace and I was truly inspired by 1) Ramesh Maddukuri and learnt from him that "Leadership is not about titles, position, but 1 life influencing another." 2) Youth with such initiative was truly mind blowing, it does make us realize that there is lot that we got to do in life and we got to be a Giver in life coz what goes around comes around. Overall iv had a great experience spending time with these kids. I wish a brighter and a prosperous future to these kids and our Org.
