How to Move Fast at Scale

How to Move Fast at Scale

The challenge for successful start-ups face is the need to scale effectively. Beyond this is the need to maintain the agility that comes naturally in a small company. It becomes much harder to move faster as your company grows.

But, why is speed important?

  1. Speed allows you to realise value sooner
  2. Speed increases how quickly you can learn how to meet your customers’ needs. This in turn reduces wasted investment in products and services your customers don’t want. This ensures you maximise time and effort spent on the products and services your customers do want, thus increasing your ROI.

So how can speed be maintained in a business that's scaling fast? There are 3 key elements which I've tackled in three articles:

Part 1: Alignment

Part 2: Focus

Part 3: Autonomy
