How to Motivate Others to Help You Accomplish Your Priorities?

Have you ever wondered how to make your priorities the focus of others?

Maybe it's time to shift your approach and ask yourself, "What can I do to win their attention and achieve more together?"

I've noticed that even highly successful leaders often face challenges like:

  • Lack of cooperation
  • Productivity loss
  • Lack of respect

So, when they ask me how to get more from others, I always ask them, "What have you done for them lately?"

It's not uncommon for them to respond with questions like, "Why do I have to do anything for them?" or "I'm already overwhelmed, what more do you want from me?" But here's the thing they may be missing, building trust and strong relationships requires taking a step forward and making some changes themselves.

You see, it's not enough to just take from your colleagues. To truly reap bigger rewards, you must give. That's why I've developed the G.I.V.E framework, which has helped hundreds of leaders I've worked with.

Here’s how to G.I.V.E:

Give: Take the time to understand the needs of others before offering your own time and energy. Focus on what truly matters to them, rather than giving attention to things that hold no meaning for them.

Invite: Extend invitations to your colleagues, whether it's to meetings, group discussions, or casual lunch or coffee chats. This fosters a deeper understanding and helps you forge stronger bonds. It also gives them insight into your own challenges and needs.

Volunteer: Show selflessness by giving without being asked. When you offer your support and assistance freely, you create an atmosphere of trust and cooperation.

Explore: Discover where you can add the most value to their projects and priorities. Be genuinely curious about their mission, priorities, and desires. You might find areas where your goals align and together, you can achieve even more.

By embracing this giving mindset, you'll unlock incredible benefits such as:

? Influence: Building a culture of giving creates influence and fosters a sense of teamwork. When others see your genuine care and support, they'll naturally be more inclined to align with your goals.

? Alignment: When you give to others, you establish a foundation of mutual understanding and shared objectives. This alignment leads to smoother collaboration and increased efficiency.

? Feeling Supported: Giving to others creates an environment of support. As you demonstrate your willingness to go the extra mile, you'll find that others reciprocate, offering their own help and support when you need it most.

So, if you want to make a lasting impact and drive success, remember the invaluable gift of giving.

Start implementing the G.I.V.E framework and watch as your relationships and achievements flourish.?
