How to be More Productive?

What is Productivity?

Productivity?is a measure of effectiveness of a person completing a task. We often assume that?productivity?means getting more things done each day. Wrong.?Productivity?is getting important things done constantly.

Importance of Productivity –

Productivity?is?important?because you can get more done. If you're a?productive?person, you can do more with less time. That means you can take on harder, more?important?tasks. It also means that you have more time to do the things you enjoy like hobbies or spending time with friends.

  • Purpose: Being on a path towards your goal will give you purpose and meaning. It will give you the reason to get up every morning and continue in spite of any challenges you may face.
  • Focus: Once you’re on a path, you know where you are going, and this gives you focus. This sense of clarity will allow your mind to fully focus on the path ahead of you.
  • Control: With focus comes full awareness of what is standing in your way towards reaching your goal. Being aware of those problems gives you the means to overcome them. Being in control is very important, as it gives you the power to steer in the right direction and stay on the right path.
  • Motivation: Take a moment to stop and look how far you’ve come and how many difficulties you’ve already left behind. This will motivate you and fuel you every day with new energy to keep you moving forward.
  • Tranquillity: Setbacks are inevitable and sometimes you might even have to take a small diversion. But, knowing that you are heading towards the right direction, will give you comfort and calmness.
  • Personal Growth: When you’re on a path, with every step you take and every hurdle you overcome, you’re learning and growing. It’s a process of self-improvement which will improve your life and every other path you will take on in the future.
  • Happiness: Once you reach your goal, it’ll give you a moment to be proud of which will give you a complete sense of achievement and fill you with joy.

4 Ways to Increase Productivity –

If you’ve been having a difficult time staying focused and completing your tasks, here are a few ways to stay productive –

  1. Limit Distractions: Distractions are everywhere. Your distractions may come from your social life or from any other source. It’s important to encourage a healthy social life, and it’s okay to have downtime to relax. But when it’s time to work, do your best to set those distractions aside, whatever your distraction.
  2. Tackle Important Tasks First: Many people pick their order of tasks at random or try to do the things that are easiest first. This is not the most productive way to perform duties. It’s easy to feel lost when you have an overwhelming number of responsibilities. You can’t do them all in one day, so do the ones that are most important.
  3. Become an Early Riser: Being an early riser is linked with important health benefits and improved performance in work and school. Don’t waste your most productive time lying in bed. Early to bed and early to rise and you’ll be able to start the day fresh and ready for your tasks.
  4. Take a Break & Relax: All work and no play is actually less productive. Taking breaks can also help break up the boredom and keep people from becoming tired with a project.

It is simple. Walk about 8 to 10 miles everyday. Eat what is needed to maintain balanced intake in the body. Be spiritual and not religious. These parameters will keep you healthy which in result will lead to increase in productivity in every sphere of life.
