Cultivate equity meta-governance to redress the systemic power abuse dynamics of our meta-crisis that set up our poly-crisis of wicked problems.

The 2024 NAPCRG program committee accepted this preconference workshop submission (see abstract below).

Equity meta-governance is our ultimate meta-process for humanity (UMH): use a guiding constellation of virtues to co-create fair rules, fair plays, fair games, fair opportunities, and fair rewards for the benefit of all, on a regenerating healthy planet.

The UMH addresses our meta-crisis: the systemic power abuse dynamics that set up our poly-crisis (our complex entanglements of self-inflicted wicked problems) and our poly-crisis (living beyond planetary boundaries).

Equity Moonshot is our massive transformational purpose (MTP): co-design and build an equitable, regenerative, and sustainable future. The MTP addresses our poly-crisis.

We need a transformational learning revolution that provides exponential opportunities for developing a broad array of complex skills to solve our wicked problems.

Workshop Abstract

  • How might we co-create human-AI synergy skills to explore the meaning and implications of complex questions and key concepts (such as equity meta-governance, wicked problems, epistemic equity-justice, and exponential organizations) to redress our escalating economic, social, educational, and health inequities?

Explore perplexity.ai to elaborate on the meaning and implications of this complex question above. Use AI as a research tool to improve its output for collaborative and transformational learning.

Rationale

Escalating inequities are inseparable from our complex entanglements of self-inflicted wicked problems: political corruption, neoliberalism, techno-feudalism, ineffective governance of power-sharing, inept stewardship, incompetent leadership, degenerative practices, and the un-sustainability of living beyond planetary boundaries.

  • How might we, as process learning designers, leaders, academics, researchers, and educators, enhance our complexity skills in redressing the interacting ethical, cultural, political, and systemic factors that set up our escalating inequities?

Content

How might we ethically:

  • Cultivate equity meta-governance to redress our meta-crisis of systemic power abuse dynamics?
  • Discern moral-amoral-immoral distinctions in the (ab)uses of political, corporate, and economic power?
  • Negotiate shared meanings about fairness to enable egalitarianism?

Process

Rotating triadic group sessions will dialogue about the meaning and implications of complex questions.?

How might we:?

  • Understand the failures of reductionism (and not zooming out) in addressing the complexities of solving our wicked problems?
  • Redress how our meta-crisis sets up our poly-crisis of wicked problems??
  • Agree on first principles and simple rules to co-create generative-strategic dialogues for facilitating transformational learning about equity meta-governance??
  • Enhance ethical literacy about why the distinctions between virtues and values matter for promoting equity??
  • Discern the?distinctions in the moral-amoral-immoral (ab)uses in power?
  • Cultivate equity meta-governance to co-create fair rules, fair opportunities, and fair rewards to benefit all, on a regenerating planet??

Evaluation

Gather iterative feedback about gaining complexity insights into the challenges of reversing inequities at the meta and macro levels.

Outcome

Explore interests in developing ongoing learning communities to cultivate equity meta-governance movement to solve wicked problems.
