How might we build a new transformational change agent archetype movement to cultivate equity meta-governance by expanding our use of metaphors?

Equity meta-governance is about co-creating fair rules, fair plays, fair games, fair opportunities, and fair rewards for the benefit of all, on a healthy planet. This is the Ultimate Meta-process for Humanity (#UMH).

Indigenous wisdom is the ethical foundation of the Rhodium rule for guiding the development of the governance process.

Be fair and kind to all people, the planet, the environment, nature, biodiversity, animals, the soil, and plants.

Creating Islands of Sanity

A talk on the learning platform Sutra, given by Meg Wheatley and organized by Lorenz and Natasha Sell, inspired the questions below.

The setup introduction for this talk used the opening lines in Meg’s new book?"Who Do We Choose To Be."?

In a world we cannot recognize, how do we find a way forward? In this world we do not understand, how do we know what to do? When so little is comprehensible, what is meaningful work, what is genuine contribution?

How might we:

  • Expand our metaphors (beyond the reductionism of military, sports, and war ones) to develop a new transformational change agent archetype (guided by the holism of ecological, regenerative, artistic, musical, systemic, design, and complexity thinking ones)?
  • Enable peace warriors to become pro-humanity peace-makers?

Equity Muse: a new transformational change archetype

Equity muses are guides-on-the-stage and not sages-on-the-stage. This new kind of change agent is based on a blend of different archetypes: holy fool, magician, jester, heretic, and more. They adopt a diversity of interrelated roles to inspire the development of transformation movements to co-design and build an equitable, regenerative, and sustainable future based on a healthy planet.

As Socratic Sherpas, we ask complex questions to inquire, understand, and redress how the chaos of our meta-crisis drives our poly-crisis: our complex web of self-inflicted wicked problems in the 21st century.

How might we, as equity leaders, mentors, muses, mavens, and learning design architects use metaphors to:

  • Open mindsets to the transformational power of new ideas, perspectives, insights, and breakthrough understanding despite living in toxic divisive cultures that induce regressive states of closed-mindedness?
  • Expand beyond the unconditional "giving" of sacrifice and duty to the co-elevation of mutual reciprocities: the endless circularity of give-and-take??
  • Craft complex questions to engage, activate and mass mobilize people in collaborative learning for transforming mindsets and redesigning systems based on equity meta-governance??

Fascinating post! How can we paint our path with a palette of fresh analogies?
