How Microsoft's Copilot will integrate with Windows 11, and AI washing explained
This week saw Microsoft's latest Surface event, and there are no prizes for guessing what the main focus was - AI.
Among the announcements was that Copilot is being integrated into Windows 11, meaning that your AI pal will only be a keystroke away - especially if you own a new device with the dedicated Copilot key.
In terms of what Copilot can do, it has plenty of tricks up its sleeve, and you can read Adam Rowe 's write up of the announcement.
Personally, it's the time saving aspects of Copilot that are most appealing to me, such as its ability to summarize your email inbox, saving you the time and effort of reading through hundreds of messages. Similarly, being able to get a quick recap of meetings you've missed is huge.
Using Copliot to change my desktop wallpaper, another newly announced feature, isn't quite as impressive, but it does illustrate that we can expect AI to come to pretty much everything over the next few years.
