How The Metaverse Will Change Support
As part of the Player Support realm, talking about the Metaverse and its future seems a bit dystopian.?
Why? When we think about Metaverse, we think about scenarios similar to Ready Player One, where we require companies to cooperate in this virtual world.
Currently, I don't see?Second Life?having much motivation to give players a portal to jump straight over to?World of Warcraft, even if it were easy to do so, the raw computing power needed for such a concept could be much further away than we think.?
It's at this point that most discussions of what the metaverse entails start to stall, at least for the gaming world. We need to keep this context in mind because while it's tempting to compare the ideas of what we have today versus the early internet and assume everything will fall together in time, that's not a given.?
One thing for sure is that the current traditional player support model
What is the future of player support? First of all, we need to agree that our current support models are becoming obsolete, just because the metaverse just like social media, thrives on delivering presence.

?I've covered some opportunities and risks that we could potentially experience in the Metaverse.
Right now, it's difficult to prove that these would be actual dilemmas for player support to look into, just because the platforms haven't really taken shape yet.
